We have CRDs and operators since 2016. Where are we heading as a community with them? Are they solving the problems we have today?

In this BoF session we want to collect opinions and perspectives around a world where Kubernetes-native APIs (like CRDs) can be bound between clusters without operator glue. Several projects are exploring similar ideas in one way or another today, kcp, vcluster among them. It's time to step back a little as a community and see where we can collaborate.

This is the strawman vision for the discussion:
